Relentless. Limited plot, limited characterisation, lots of explosion and carnage. It is a Mad Max movie through and through, you either like that or not. In many ways it felt like the movie George Miller would have always wanted to have made of Mad Max if he had had the budget. Now he did, and this is what you got.
I am a big Will Smith fan, so I would turn out for anything he’s starring in. I came into “Hancock” with high hopes, but ones tempered a little by some poor reviews I had heard about, but tried to avoid. After coming out of the movie, I could understand why there were negative reviews, but still felt that it was a good movie.
A somewhat fresh concept and with some good laughs. I felt the movie had potential to be something better than it was, but it takes a bizarre turn mid-way through the movie, that some people will like and think the movie is great, but others will not and pan the movie for it. I was actually somewhere in the middle, and kind of felt like I’d seen another Will Smith movie that didn’t end the way I wished it had.
