I’m a big fan of Clint Eastwood’s work, but I was left wondering exactly what I had just seen after watching Hereafter. It’s not that it has a confusing plot, or even vague themes. It’s just that I couldn’t quite get what the movie was actually trying to do. It’s basically three separate stories (one featuring the singularly worst child actor in the history of film), that loosely connect at the very end, but ultimately in an extremely insignificant way. If there was a point to this film, I didn’t see it. Wasted potential.
